As we ran screen after screen I was scratching my head think .... "What do they see?" "Why so many that it is becoming predictable." BYU has obviously prepared for it.
Then I remembered something one of our coaches said a few weeks ago. "BYU blitzes. From 3 man front and 4 man front." Then I watched some film on them. Yep. They do. Due to being less talented. Which leads to the screen.
Hitting a screen against the blitz is a good call. But, it can also serve as a deterrent. Which is what I believe the mindset was.
So, that is my opinion until I hear why. To try and catch them blitzing and to deter them from blitzing.
