...we've lost to these Goofers two years in a row now. This game is pivotal for us, for if we lose we are out, if we win, we have a chance. Come Nebraska fans!!! We can't go out like this!!!

Game like this? We haven't entered a game with a record like this in 50+ years, and we're up against a blah team. Hard to get too worked up. But I will tune in to see if we make any progress.

Today in Minneapolis I expected to see a bunch of red as during lunch I walked around the Nicollet Mall and over to Hennepin Ave. during the Lynx WNBA Championship parade.

I saw one young woman in a Husker sweatshirt by the Target Center, and a few in red by the Marriott on 7th. After work I saw three Husker fans in red walking by the Depot in red towards the Crooked Pink Ale House on Washington. I sort of envied those guys, being on the road, heading to the Ale house, with no cares in the world, away from normal responsibilities. That is what makes these few weeks in the fall so great.

The day before the TCU game on 9/3 there were a ton of people all over downtown Minneapolis wearing purple. There were probably only about 4K TCU fans at the game, so they all must have been in hotels downtown. I expect to see about 6K to 8K fans in red tomorrow. The 2011 Nebraska turnout at TCF was much more impressive though, probably around 15K.

I have no idea as to what might happen tomorrow.

I hope we can do something. Commentators at the Iowa/Northwestern game just said Indiana looks to be Iowa's toughest remaining game. Oh yeah!

KInd of hard to justify spending the money for this trip based on the results this season.

It would be funny if Iowa came into Lincoln 11-0, and had their dream season ruined by the worst Nebraska team in 55 years.
