An old piece from ol' mouthpiece, but most certainly a hilarious read, given that a few hours after publication his buddy was nuked.

In light of the developments of recent months, where the new staff brutally and publicly executed each and every one of the previous staff's excuses, this is up there with the most recent Aziz Ansari special on Netflix.

We landed on the moon! Jeez jaw, this is old old news. After tape gate 2, Sip jumped ship faster than the crew of the titanic. And for someone that dispised Bo probably more than anyone (one year too late on your guarantee ) I'm a little perplexed why you want to keep digging up stuff about that regime.

Nothing wrong with a little grave dancing. Winking Personally, I've let it go. Although, I'm still pissed at how Bo shat on tradition and turned the team on it's fans.
 
Like I stated initially, looking back over the past few months, all the excuses that Sipple proferred for the last regime have been torn to shreds. Remember how we couldn't recruit? How our AD didn't have a good relationship with the coach or do enough to help out? Football season is fast approaching and being over the moon that our program isn't a joke on a national scale. Mike Riley is a professional in every aspect of running a program, and it will be more than easy to root for his success because of the way he runs this program.

It's funny that people get upset about posting a piece from nine months ago when there are still posters here who are flaming angry that Frank was fired over a decade ago.

I'll give you that....going back that far is crazy. Just seems like I haven't seen a post from you in the last year that wasn't a shot at the old regime. I would think you, more than anyone, is ready to move on.
I can't wait for the season to start...if for nothing else than to rinse out the bad taste that's been in my mouth for years. Kind of like the floor of a NY taxi in the middle of July.
We may not win the conf or even the division....but I bet they put a product on the field we can be proud of and root for all year!

I think there's value in examining the mistakes we've made in the past. How else do we avoid making those mistakes going forward?
 
i think of snot running down my nose in the cold winter.. sip would write about that.. sometimes that green luggie you hacked up should be forgotten, that part is not important in the grand scheme of things, but it is sip who brings us back home..
 
too bad we don't have jaw's posts in an easily accessible archive.

The difference is, I can't remember the last time someone brought up firing Frank out of the blue and with no reason.

The mistakes have been examined, re-examined, hashed and re-hashed. Whatever value could be extracted has been squeezed out months ago.

I'm looking forward to getting on with this season. I don't care to look back at the last few.

Bingo. Sipple proved he was a complete hack and no one should forget it during the upcoming season. That sad little man is still seething that his boy was fired. He keeps talking about how great it is to see Jim Harbaugh act exactly like Bo, he misses having Nebraska being a joke. Just remember that when he tries to scoop someone or generally act like he has any knowledge about the game or program.
 
If the program is going to reach a higher level, there will need to be fundamental changes.

And I don't mean a change of coaching staff.

It would defy fairness to fire a coaching staff that just produced a 9-3 record that includes a couple of ugly sores but ultimately an extremely inspiring victory.

Sipple is a gumshoe reporter with no ca_onies. I have been on this site and mostly RSS for the last seven years trying to tell people Bo is a maniac and not the answer. I was blacklisted, called every name in the book, labled a hater of NU and told to go somewhere else. All because I didn't approve of Bo at NU. What Sipple did must define him, he must be held accountable for his participation in the Bo fiasco. Dirk at least has the ca_onies to stand up to bullies like Bo and question him.
 
I think he's just a pretty simple guy who likes to look on the bright side of everything. Definitely not everyone's taste, and maybe not your definition of a true journalist, but I don't think there's anything hateable about the guy. He actually seems like an extremely self-deprecating pretty funny down-home type dude on the radio.

Lol. The next time he answers something without stuttering that first will be newsworthy. He is also the master of rambling while never actually answering a question that would require a stance. "You know what I mean, does that make sense to ya"? Lol

The thing is, its not. Almost weekly we have to hear from the new coaches things that they have to take back to square one or improve, that the previous coaching staff just didnt do properly. (These are things that some of us, like Myself, Jaw, and West Coast) had been screaming about for a while and it was only met with mostly disdain until the villagers took the torches and pitch forks and got us chased off of the board. When things keep coming up that the new staff has to fix, which is a lot of simple stupid things, it should make more sense to people as to why Bo is coaching at Y town instead of at a major program or even a lower level type D1 program.

Sipple is a hack and what he did was ultimately a huge disservice to NU. His puff pieces and LIES outright LIES he wrote, swayed a lot of people and helped keep people in BO's corner instead of being objective to where people could start to see the chinks in the armor and start to demand better. Sipple was a big part of the problem along with Bo Bo the great. Sipple should absolutely be taken to taks and take crap for what he did and how he slobbered all over Bo and the amateur hour staff.
