He’s got the physical tools. As he gets refined and polished, he could be special.
If teams get overly concerned with his scrambling, I think our offense will see a lot of zone coverage in the secondary. That should open up some high percentage passes for Fidone and the tight ends.
Since I live in a state where there is nothing fun to do, I went back and watched the condensed versions of a lot of his games since he was a freshman on youtube to get a better idea how he plays under pressure or in all four quarters and he is an absolute baller! I haven’t watched the games where his stats weren’t the greatest so I don’t know about those games just in case someone picks on me.
Play calling will not allow the defense to think they know what is coming. There is a true OC this year. It only took 5 years, but men not boys, have finally been given keys to the car. Whatever defense they show, Sims will have an audible to check into.
Staying healthy is the most important thing. If he can stay healthy, he’s better than half those QBs above him. But he has yet to prove he can stay healthy. And generally guys who have been continually hurt in the past don’t ever stop being hurt in the future
Are we sure about play calling? Consensus of USC fans I've seen were glad to see him go. But as Rose once said, I don't know shît about fûck.
Did you pay attention to the playcalling of Frost and The Big Whiff? My dead grandma could call a better game than the two of the combined!! USC did him no favor by bringing in Rattler, that kid has nothing between the ears. We also don't know how the working relationship was with Shane Beamer and their ideas of how to call a game...
