Are Wisconsin's academic admissions requirements that much higher than the rest of the B1G 10, and the rest of the country, or is there something behind the story? As a Nebraskan living in Wisconsin I'd like to know so I have some ammo to fire back at my friendly neighbors who are giving me the business about Nebraska having low admission standards. Personally, I think they're just a little upset that their school turned away a very good running back and he landed at Nebraska, a place my neighbors have no love for.
So again, I'm wondering if there is something more to the story that we don't know about. Isn't it kind of rare that a kid who is fully cleared by the NCAA be turned away by the school that recruited him and he committed to? Nebraska loses a recruit now and then because they don't clear the NCAA requirements, but it seems like they always accept them into the school if they're cleared to enroll.
