I think this could turn into a huge tool the athletic department can use to get top recruits interested or who may possibly be interested in this area to sign. Young people today find this type industry very appealing as a career not just a job. Every college player dreams of an NFL career but not all these players make the NFL and this esports program will give those interested in this area another career path.

It relates to football in that I'm guessing they will have some badass game rooms, which football players will probably hang out in. And the coach being a former player who leads the Packers in rushing will probably mean they will intermix. Not going to help us land recruits but probably a cool perk for players.

It's for eSports, not sports. The football players will not be hanging out in the eSports gaming room any more than every day students using the football weight rooms. Of course, the football players will probably have their own badass gaming room.

Several times. Most recently was in 2017 and involved his 15 yr old daughter. That charge was dropped down so it wasn't felony abuse, but he did receive probation, ordered supervised visits, had to take classes etc. Hopefully he has gotten things turned around.
