Shocking PSU wrestling news

they deserved the death penalty back in 2012 and that's a hill i will always die on.
I remember the sports media saying "They may NEVER recover from these penalities"

Ummmm, hardly anything even happened to them, they lost some scholarships. Big ****ing deal.

If not the death penalty, they should have had no home games for 4 years OR no fan attendance at home games for years and scholarship restrictions.

I have always said that if you really want to punish teams, you have to take away home games or attendance.

No home games or no attendance for 4 years. You can’t cripple the local economy like they just to punish a school.

What NCAA violations were broken? It was disgusting and extremely disturbing and Sandusky and Joe pa can burn in hell. Why do you think that Penn state got the scholarships back Jo pa got his wins back ? Because under their constitution of Bylaws and rules Penn state didn’t break any violation for these punishments to be handed down by the NCAA. I remember Jay Bilas commenting on this when they announced the punishment. He is an attorney he said from day 1 Tje NCAA has no authority to hand these punishments out because There were no ncaa violations that occurred in guidelines of the constitution of the punishment they hand down. They fined the school like 60 million.Jay Bilas said basically that’s all the punishment authority they had under the constitution. Now this wrestling thing is a PSU problem only the NCAA authority to do anything no NCAA violations occurred.

My thinking has been and it very well might be wrong, but if the local economy is so heavily tied to penalty that perhaps teams/coaches/schools would be less likely to be stupid.

The way I see it, the local people/businesses would lose their ****ing mind on a coach/staff that cheated/covered up, you name it.

Who knows though but it would be interesting to see. As a fan, I don't care at all if NU cheated to get recruits or had players doing steroids because the penalty is always so lame. But if they took away my home games and/or attendance, I would be furious.

Now the PSU thing is so very different because it was not cheating it was horrible sex abuse, so who knows what to do with that.

It's weird how much of a need there is on this board to want to enforce collective punishment ala communist China for the sins of a few.

I know my thoughts on PSU are feelings based and not within the regulations of the NCAA. But decades of child abuse within those programs walls. And camps sponsored by PSU so predatory behaviors can continue. Yes I don’t care how label me I will always believe that program should have suffered.

This is where the problem was...and I agree. The NCAA has no real power for what happened.

But since they did try to punish PSU, they should have actually tried something with teeth.

With that said, the NCAA can hand out punishments but the schools don't have to follow it.

The only reason why I would hate this is because you'd be completely destroying businesses that had nothing to do with what Sandusky did and what JoePa continued to allow happen.

Yes, take away scholarships, make schools pay a serious fine for x-number of years, ban them from CCG & bowl games, etc.

It is bs that Penn St was able to recover as quickly as they did.

I agree...it punishes so many people BUT maybe that helps??

I have no idea.

You will not find a bigger hater of all things Penn State than me. But what you write here is 100% accurate.

Folks still persevering on what happened more than a decade ago need to get a life. (And, no, I am not including actual victims in that statement.)

Sandusky is in prison where can rot as far as I’m concerned. He’s literally going to die there. And absolutely no one then in a position to have known or covered up the abuse still works for PSU. Get over it.

As for the current allegations, it’s a terrible look for Sanderson. Don’t know if you fire him. But there definitely should be serious repercussions. Hell, maybe you do fire him.

I'M SHOCKED!!!

First, I hate Penn State with a passion. Can not stand them in any sport.

Second: This is a total bullshit news report. This chick wants a paycheck. And she will get it not from Storaci, but from Ped U.

Carter had relations with "Jane". Big deal. It happens every day, in every dorm, in every frat house, on every campus, every day.

Yep, it might get a little kinky, but there is nothing here but innuendos.

First time I disagree with you sir, Pennsy.

My son just graduated UNL. He has told me many a yarn when stud student athletes gain access to a party and pick up girls that he and geek friends would never have that opportunity.
