Everyone remember? The Billy C honeymoon officially ended. I recall being in a state of absolute shock. Never in my lifetime had I witnessed a 11:00 am home defeat. Recalling the week before we actually looked really good, granted it was against Western, IL but I thought at the time, "lookout for this new west coast scheme, it looks awsome!! Joe Daily baby!". & then.. BAM!!! harsh reality check the next week. Although what I remember most about the 2004 season was the Texas Tech game which I believe at the time was the worst defeat Nebraska had ever taken. That was a bad week. A quick personal note as I remember I had just broken up with my girlfriend a few days prior to that game and it was salt in an open wound...
Nonetheless, I don't mean to recount negative occurrences but given tomorrow's match up is against Southern Miss and the game is at 11:00 am.... let's hope history doesn't repeat itself. GBR.
