Nebraska is the only school to have multiple guys drafted each year for 50 Straight years
Got all off of Parrella's twitter page. Amazing to see the difference with a staff embracing, marketing and selling Nebraska and the fans instead of trying to fight the fans and media every step of the way.
Paying off in recruiting big time!!
Don't tell Kevin Williams they're marketing their players in relation to the NFL...
Didn't know Nebraska Wesleyan was so highly ranked for academic All-Americans.
Honestly, I'm surprised there are any schools ahead of us in terms of OLinemen being drafted. I guessed the top one, but missed on the #2 team. Guesses?
Because its cold in Nebraska and you can't get direct flights into Lincoln. Why bother?
Guess Tom Osborne didn't ask FHCBP his plan to market the Nebraska football program when he was interviewed years ago.
Eh, based on recent history I'd rather have an elite college QB than one who does great in the pros.
I think Cam Newton is the first QB since Joe Montana to win a National Title and not be regarded as at best a borderline bust.
Much rather have the next Jason White, Matt Leinart or Matt Flynn than the next Tom Brady or Aarron Rodgers.

Only way that changes is if all qb and wr schools have about a 30 year drought and we send people every year.
I don't see us making up ground. We need to add those positions to the league but we won't ever be 4th or so imho.
Exactly. NU is getting better with the WR and RB's again. Don't think we have ever had this many receivers and backs in the NFL at the same time. Bell, Enunwa and Niles Paul converted to TE. Ameer, Helu and Burkhead. Maybe O'brien and Gebbia in the future.
I see the myth of Tom Brady's college career is alive and well here. But don't worry, what you said isn't as bad as some who for whatever reason believe he didn't even start at Michigan.
Tom Brady went 20-5 as a starter and was a CAPTAIN OF THE TEAM HIS SENIOR YEAR. He already had earned a reputation for comebacks in college including a 4th Q comeback in his last regular season game against tOSU and a 14 point comeback in his final game against Alabama...btw, he set the Orange Bowl passing yard record (at the time) in that game and also threw for 4 tds. That team, led by Tom Brady, finished top 5 and probably would have played for the NC if not for a poor decision to also get Drew Henson playing time to develop him. That stopped after Henson cost them a game, the B10 title (Brady and crew had already beaten the eventual winner) and a shot for the NC...instead Brady had to settle for only beating the SEC champ in a BCS Bowl.
Now part of the myth (I think) comes from the fact Henson (the one time wonder boy turned bust) played some but people forget Brady was started every game and by mid season was the only QB getting snaps. The other part (I think) comes from him "only" being a 6th round pick. He was picked in the 6th round because the NFL didn't think he had the physical tools and not because of what he did in college (what he did in college got him drafted). Tom Brady was a walking stick figure in college and looked like he might get broken in half if hit by an NFL lineman. For whatever reason he was finally able to gain weight (and some addition strength of course) in the NFL and the rest is history. Sure he is a better pro than collegiate player but the notion he was not an excellent college QB has become quite a myth. I assure you that if one of your young QBs turns into a college version of Brady you will be quite happy.
