I tried to buy season tickets today and learned the details of the "donation". Only new season ticket holders have to donate. Nebraska is late to this donation thing, but they are at the high end of the donation amount. There are 120 schools that do this. Looking at the seating chart and associated donations, Nebraska could generate over $80,000,000 a year from this scheme. Frankly, I don't know a lot of people who want pony up that kind of money for a game. It will be a lot easier to turn on the 60" plasma, open a cold one and watch the game for a few bucks ( depending on the number of cold ones).
