Unofficially Huskers take the first game 5-2
and go down in the 2nd game 1-6.
Not nearly the same good weather as it was for Wichita St.
Still that highly touted recruiting class got some valuable game experience.
Cam Chick stole the show in first game with 4 RBIs off 2 Hits, a Double and then stole 3rd.
Bo Blessie pitched in the 2nd game and got himself out of trouble with the bases loaded.
Other freshman pitchers that got thrown into the fire included Kyle Perry, Tyler Martin, and Caleb Feekin.
Aaron Palensky had a high light Triple.
Spencer Schwellenbach, Drew Gilin, Colby Gomes, Brett Hammit got to play multiple positions on the infield.
Other Husker pitchers on the day included Eddins, Tillotson, Klenke, Fisher, and Schreiber.
Like the scrimmage with Wichita St, most Husker starters only played in a couple innings before giving way to others in getting them some game experience.
Now all that's left is the three Red/White Fall Games... all hands on deck!
