The upside is that whatever we pay him as our offensive coordinator we could subtract from what we owe him as part of his buyout

I wish I had a $100 bill for every time I’ve heard this rationalization for keeping someone around.

The money NU owes Frost is gone, and thankfully so is he. Don’t make it worse by bringing him back in any capacity.

I think you read into that a lil too much into it, I was just saying frost is probably a decent oc, not hc..thus I gave the disclaimers of rhule x'ing any dumb calls, and mickey supplying the horses..to be able to acctually run the called plays...see my horror posts of onside kick up by 11 combined with the ones about wandell up the middle and adrian ain't joe montana for further referance...
in no way I want frost at oc...nor was suggesting it..I'm just saying he didok at oregon at oc..I'm not a spitful person and I don't beleive in kicking folks when they are down, unless they are like kimberly jong or the night stalker..
And the part where you went so far as to suggest that NU could use the big savings on a DC - did I read a “lil” too much into that too? Or was it just a remarkably stupid idea?

personally I want rhule to have a clean slate, to construct a monster.
if he keeps micki or not doesn't phase me..
I know alot of people that don't pull in the denero of a hc or wr coach at a major program..so there's not gonna be alot of violens playing for any of them..
that said I would have no qualms if rhule kept mickey, as stated on here by many, he can recruit and coach a wr or two..so pragmatisum is a-ok with as far as the coaching in lincoln, as in whatever works...
as long as the lincoln police are not burdened and we see w's..

not really , as said on this board, money for assitant coaches is round 7 mill per year..(mu and osu a lil more)
so 15 million devided by 2 is 7.5 million....which pays for assitant coaches for 2 years, and above the average..
that means your pocketing 15 million, so when the 2 years are up you have 15 million in savings, plus another new 15 million which is 30 million to spend on assiatants after 2 years...it's just basic math
Yeah this pencils out beautifully if Frost somehow accepts an assistant coach’s salary and lets NU completely off the hook for the rest of what he’s owed.
We must have taken different math classes.
