I've been waiting to see what the B1G does with the basketball season. (just read the new article up front)..
Watching most the other B1G baseball Fall practices go pretty smoothly.
A lot of teams are excited for the upcoming season, and their chances.
So I'd say the interest is there to play in the Spring.

Just noticed this tidbit...
Kendall Rogers tweeted Thursday afternoon that LA Tech has announced a full 56 game schedule along with some non conference opponents....
which includes Illinois.

This might be the perfect timing for it too. With the country wanting a vaccine, etc.

Basically what they're saying according to their sources is that most conferences are preparing for a full 56 game season. The main issue seems to be if conferences play an all conference schedule or to include non conference games. They go on to say that most the power conferences will do everything in their power to play 56 games.
It goes into many scenerios.
But if the B1G were to play an all conference schedule, a model discussed would award the B1G 4 tournament bids due from the average number of bids over the last 5 years.
Another idea is to increase the tournament to 75 teams, giving mid majors more opportunity while making it possible for more teams to host a regional.
