Beat me to it by a minute, it sure would be nice to put Frank back in the pen so he can impact two games instead of one.
They need to start Brockett. He has gotten better as the season has gone on and in his last 3 appearance, he has thrown 12 innings only giving up 9 hits and 4 runs. Play for the future.

Makes sense! Our most consistent arm in the 2022 season doesn't touch the ball as a starter in the first 2 games against a 2-7 conference opponent.
Yeah, Bolt confirmed it postgame. I'm curious as to how they had the pitching mapped out for the weekend. Obviously you shouldn't count on your Friday guy giving up 7 runs in 4 innings but I think there's now a realistic chance of not getting meaningful innings out of Brockett this weekend depeding on how things work out.

Hate to be the guy that quotes himself, but not getting Brockett on the mound this weekend was a huge mistake.
Their decision cost us this series, and I'll even say a possible sweep as Indiana isn't good this season. At all.
After this game, we're 5-7 in conference with 12 games remaining. We need to go 7-5 or 8-4 the rest of the way to have a chance to make it to Omaha. 13 conference wins seems to be a safe number, 12 may do it - based on previous seasons. No?
A weekend without Brockett or Bragg pitching is a massive failure, we should have won the series at a minimum. I still think 10 wins may be enough for the 8 seed, the bottom of the league is horrendous.
