Scott Frost, the "fans Choice" isn't coming here. Would I like him to? Yes.Why not? Is he going to make it any worse? Probably not. Is he my first choice? No. Around 4th. ( I dont give a rats ass whether he has NEB ties or not.) I remember quite well when Bo was 'the fans choice". They listened and hired him.. Did'nt work out so well. Here's what will happen. Moos will hire someone who the fans will say "who? OK.. It might work." We will pay him nothing. He will have a rocky road. 4 years from now, we will say , "fire his ass". At this point Moos will retire. This has gone on for many years and I don't see it stopping now. Scott Frost appears- and I say , "appears" to be a decent coach. However, is he ready? There are coaches more ready than he is right now, We could eventually get Frost at some point if he continues to be a success. Now? No way.. We will have a hire from a smaller school that we will be paying less and has "potential". He will be young, but not fully proven. No kelly, no Petersen, no Stoops, but a young man that has been successful, at say a team like Toledo. In four years when this guy if fired, then we can talk about Scott Frost. As for now, You know where Frost goes? Nowhere. He stays put for a couple of years. Looking at the past, can you see any different outcome.? Knowing the University like I do, they don't "get it" and once again, will not "get it" with this hire. I hope I'm wrong, but the prior 20 years has taught me a valuable lesson. Heed these words and you will not be disappointed by the hire we mike when MR is canned ( like he should be). Hope i'm proven wrong, but I highly doubt it. Just a guess and some words for thought. I try to remember that it can't rain all the time-but it has for the last 16 years. And will probably rain a lot more.
