but the posts must have been deleted. The Husker players refusing to shake hands before the game was BS.

Every week I see something more that makes me scratch my head about this program - and now we have players deciding to imitate the Miami thugs of the 80’s? At least when Miami acted like jackasses, they backed it up by kicking your ass all over the field. Our little boys qualify for a bowl game and now they are bad asses?

Chalk it up to just one more WTF moment for this sad program.

Agreed.

They need an earfull for that. Kinda makes a mockery of the "Day by Day" thing they recite before each game.

I don't care if they shake hands or not. Wondered if they did this because Iowa didn't allow the NE players to do their pregame prayer at midfield (apparently had state police at midfield logo) as they typically do? idk...just something I saw on X pregame.

Don't they usually do that at the endzone. I don't recall that at the 50

Think what you're thinking of is more of when they run out onto the field just before kickoff. This was early early pregame when they first arrive to the field.

Who cares? So there is bad blood between the programs. If I were a Nebraska player I wouldn’t shake hands with a team where the kicker blows kisses to the opposing team’s fans after a walk off field goal (in Lincoln 3 years ago), a team that tells the other team ‘have a nice Christmas (you aren’t going bowling - last year). Yeah F*** the Iowa program!

I don’t like Wisconsin, but Iowa left their starters in when the game was almost over and out of hand to run up the score with a TD. Yeah F*** the Iowa program!

This doesn’t bother me that the Husker players know a dirty program when they see it!

As a fan, I noticed the bad blood by Nebraska fans, maybe 2-3 years into our move to the Big Ten. I never really noticed this from Iowa fans, but I have seen lots of guys obsessed with Iowa on our board, for years now.. so to me, this was really started by the Nebraska fans who were in a new conference and assumed they would beat Iowa, and when we started losing to them, they made this an issue, plus we didn't have any rivalries.. So Iowa was the closest state and hence this was entirely fan created on the Nebraska side IMO.

The crap about not shaking hands, goes completely against the culture at Nebraska and we deserved to lose because of that 1 thing alone. Each of those team captains should be relieved of those positions. I don't know what kind of culture Rhule is running down there, but that is completely unacceptable. Matt Rhule will get a ton of hate mail for that.
