I ran into somebody on the staff last night and I asked what the plan on Satellite Camps is going forward. He said they will still do them, but not as many as expected and maybe even only on the weekends. California is a definite, as is the Sound, Mind, Body Camp in Detroit. It remains to be seen on the other locations.
In Sam McKewon's story in the Omaha World Herald head coach Mike Riley said a priority going forward will be utilizing the NCAA allotted time with the team they are allowed in June. He also wants to get more athletes at the Huskers camps in Lincoln.
“We’re re-examining it now,” Riley told the Omaha World-Herald. “We were full-fledged into a schedule. It was all set up in about six different places. And then of course we pulled back and refigured it and regeared it and then I had a whole bunch of other thoughts.
“No. 1, let’s try to get more kids to our camps. And then the other thing is, we just bought another couple weeks with our team during their June workouts.”
