Last week, due to some good friends I had the opportunity to take my family to the Fresno St game. We had a blast. My youngest son will celebrate his 11th birthday on Wednesday of this week. Every year we plan his birthday party and who he is going to invite, what he wants to do, ect. So he decided to have a huge nerf war and invite his buddies and we get to what he wants on his cake. He looks at me and his mom and says, " Can I have a picture of Sam Foltz and a 27 on my cake?" Completely caught me and my wife off guard. He could have picked anything that an 11year old would want, Royals, Huskers, Nerf, ect. I asked him what made him want to have Sam Foltz on his cake, and he says, "I think Sam was a great person."
Now I know that most on here will think I made this up, or that I am looking for exposure, but this is all true and I am proud of it. I just hope that those of you that do know Sam's family or did know him personally, that you know that even though he is gone, that he has had a huge affect on a lot of people.
Cool moment for me and I thought I would share.
Go Big Red!
