I shouldn't be surprised any longer, but the reach of RSS is long my friends. Please excuse me this story I'd like to share:
Last week I'm walking my dog to McKennan Park which is a few blocks from home. It's our normal after-school routine of chucking the tennis ball and me watching the yellow lab puppy do wind sprints for a cumulative 5 miles. I've noticed a neighbor on the way often has a Husker flag flying. It happened that he was outside working on his yard and I took the opportunity to introduce myself. His name is Scott and he attended Raymond Central and then UNL; moved to Sioux Falls about a year ago, and yes, is a big follower of all things Huskers. He even mentioned the Roberts commitment (hmmm, serious fan). I told him about myself, teacher - Fremont native, and we decided we needed to hang out and watch some games this coming season and I went on my way.
Two days later, Newton and I are walking to the park when Scott bolts out of his home and asks, "Hey! Are you Science Guy?"
Small world, RSS. Small world.
