Is it just me or does Rose-Ivey make way more plays against a spread team than Bando, it looked to me that Bando was always late to the outside or was getting blocked or missing the tackle. Why wasn't Rose-Ivey in there more? What did everyone else see?

MRI was very active, but they don't play the same position. MRI is battling Newby for PT.

I haven't watched it again yet, but the first two Bando came out in the nickel and was the MLB in our base. Maybe they switched things up this week.

You could be right, I just didn't see Bando and Ivey out there at the same time very often. Looked like most of the time when Bando came out Ivey was going in. Doesnt really matter I just think Ivey needs to be in there more makes a lot of plays at the line and behind the line, very instinctive player.

If fewer plays keeps MRI healthy and full of energy at the end of the game, let his workload stay somewhat reduced.

Would be nice to keep all the LBs on the field all season long.

Understatement Alert: LB play, in general, has vastly improved since the arrival of Trent Bray.

It has improved, but there is still some work to do. Banderas in particular has not been what I anticipated when I've watched him. Would like to see more of Newby on the field at all times.

The one thing I noticed when watching replays of Benoit's 40 yd TD run - Banderas should have stopped him for a 3 yd gain. Had a clean shot at him, no blocker between him and the RB, but Banderas whiffed on the tackle. No explanation, no reason - didn't even slow him down or turn him around - nothing. I don't understand it, it looked like 2 handed touch.

Banderas looks better than he has been the past couple years at least. I haven't been impressed with Young at all. For all the hype about his athleticism, he's always looked slow to me, and he missed a lot of tackles against Oregon.

Thanks Front Runner. Do you think MRI will get reps at MLB in our base? Would put our three best LB's on the field, IMO.
Young might be the odd man out in base if he doesn't get it going. He's a better athlete than he's showed. Watch the 1st TD run. MLB #52 get's sealed on a pin and pull. He's got to read the triangle. MRI appeared to lined up wrong. That stuff is way fixable.
