Maybe best ever but for those of us old timers Hoyt Wilhelm would be close to the top.. His knuckler was so crazy that Orioles “invented” a catcher’s glove at least twice the size of a regular glove even though it made stealing bases easy. I think the glove was later banned but it was pretty funny to watch catchers yield it.
I remember him and Charlie hough and recently Tim Wakefield, I go with you as Phil was the best
Wilbur Wood probably wasn't the greatest knuckleballer of all time, but he's in the conversation. Can you imagine anyone doing this in today's game?
