Baseball just hasn't been the same for me since the 90s. I grew up watching intently, eagerly reading the box scores each morning with my cereal, playing strat-o-matic and the early computer games, and could tell you starting lineups and stats for everybody. Tried to get back into it, was fun watching the Royals win the series, but hasn't really stuck with me like before.
I'm the same way with most sports nowadays. The over-analysis, inundation of sabermetrics, and simply flatout ready availability has taken a lot of charm out of sports.
