Wow the team and coach Riley really showed what they were all about today versus an very strong northwestern team. Remember guys they beat stanford early on.
Additionally many other teams are having record setting performances against us. Like today guys who have never scored before or had big running plays like their Qb played and looked amazing today.
If you take away how hard the other teams like Miami and Northwestern and BYU have played us and their record setting performances we would have easily won all those games.
Also my game Ball goes to Coach Riley for sticking with Banker as our defensive coordinator as we have the worst rated secondary in NCAA football far worse than even KU . Wow it takes guts and loyalty. I know he searched long and hard when selecting his assistant coaches and it's has really paid off. I wonder how great we could have been if cosgrove was still here??
Once we get through a couple seasons playing this way and let team get settled in I'm sure we will be competitive again in the Big Ten West. We could even maybe win our division within 10 years easily.
We just need to give hear coaches and players more time and support. Let's not speak negatively at all and just focus on the wins and Riley will bring the success he had at Oregon state here!!! He even won 10 games once !!!
