Riley reached out to T.O....Great article...

Thank you for that link,,, went to read 1 article ended up reading about 10. Great recruiting stuff there. Found this comment interesting;;;;;

"Nebraska extended offers to two quarterbacks Monday that are considered dual-threat passers by the major recruiting services. That breaks from Mike Riley’s typical pattern."

Sounds like Osborne to me. Very nice to see the flexibility in Riley. Bodes well for the future.

I really doubt they changed the kind of QB they offered because Riley talked to T.O. one time.

More likely they have seen how it can stretch and bother a defense to have a QB who can run AND throw and they like that ace up the sleeve of QB draw and read option to complement their other offense.

Even with Tommy at QB, it's not like they've been an option offense. He's not rushing 15-20 times a game.

I think that is it.He saw with TA what could be and closer to home, I think he saw Marcus Mariota and even Russell Wilson. I think those kind of guys are the model he is looking at. If it came up with TO I am sure he gave his view on it too. Which ever way it happened, it shows a willingness to adapt to the game and I think it is a very smart move

Right, didn't mean to imply that it was because of the meeting with TO that he went this direction, rather it's a similar path.
