So, I haven't watched the whole Riley presser. I was out and about today, and heard the first part of it on Nick Baugh.

Certainly spoke a lot of binary. The "what are we doing today in practice to win the game this week"/long term picture. The "football part" and the "mental/culture" part.

He expounded on all that a little bit, but the part that intrigued me was the bit he had about the mental/culture part being a real struggle. And he certainly went into those dichotomies at some length, but what really caught me in that particular issue, you almost felt like he wanted to say "I've got to kick like a dozen kids out of this program in 6 weeks and start over because its a bunch of BS what's going on in here". But he went the classy coach speak route.

Just wondering if anyone else had the same feeling about that same issue

I thought he handled the questioning well, and I agree with your statement @jflores. I'm glad some of the media is finally asking the hard questions. I'm glad on both ends the air is getting cleared. All in all, pretty good presser, but now we need to see some action.

He sounded like a politician, too bad he coaches like one too. Ok cheap shot I admit but come on who here doesn't believe an average coach could have gotten Nebraska to a minimum of a .500 record.

And you sound like a broken record. Why does this narrative have to pop up in just about every thread? There are two different factions, those who believe Riley needs more time and those who believe he sucks. Haven't we seen this in just about every other thread on the board? Do we need to see it here too?
