Football Rhule sees Holgorsen's aggressive style a contrast to his own

"I think the biggest thing when I played against Dana is, he's just a really aggressive play caller," Matt Rhule said. "I'm probably not a super aggressive person in that area. So I thought the best move for me was to bring in someone who is that way, and offset that against me."

While at West Virginia, Dana Holgorsen beat Rhule twice. Those two wins made an impression on Rhule, so I went back and took a look at those matchups in 2017 and 2018 to see what worked.

A long time ago, and in a different conference, I get it. But maybe we can get some hints at the tweaks and wrinkles we'll see at USC and the remainder of the season.
