he was hired to be a gifted coach. Maybe the massive contract took away any sense of urgency for him, but he completely misread the mood of the fan base.

The Rhule era doesn’t feel on track at all. I don’t care about the Who Gives a Sh*t Bowl. 6 wins isn’t great, and what kills me is we left at least 3-4 other wins out there this season with poor coaching, particularly on offense and special teams.

Our defense overall was good; please retain our dc. Beyond that, everything needs to be under the microscope.

This was just another forgettable year by a program that hasn’t done anything memorable in decades.

I agree we are definitely not on track in year two. But getting to bowl game and extra practices is important. Lord knows we need practice! We need more Winners on this team and players that can play better fundamental football

I agree extra practices help, but we need vastly better coaching.

Close games are won and lost with special teams and game management, and we have neither.

All we need to see is Indiana getting a coach that turned that wreck around in a hurry, Rhule is going into his 3rd and I really think next season will be a lot like what we just witnessed. Indiana has damn good coaching, Nebraska in many areas, does not.

I still view situation for us as fixable but am concerned by the lack of urgency and casualness by our staff this season.

What’s incredibly sad is when game was close late, all of our fans knew we would lose because Nebraska doesn’t win close games. It’s sickening.

This is what ticks me off. Why does it take the fans getting up in arms for this staff to even begin to look around for solutions to glaring problems. It’s like they were surprised that what they were doing wasn’t good enough

Not taking that game into OVT was idiotic and I’m learning toward Pennsy with in next the year we will really see if he can get the job done..

Offense staff changes need to be made immediately after the bowl game.
Foley should pack his bags today he is worthless.

Matt should "trust this crowd." LOL

What school has more fans that actually know what the hell a great program looks like? In case he didn't know it, Devaney and TO were both highly successful coaches here that were critiqued and got their ass chewed by the fans too.

Surely Matt doesn't think we're gonna take it easy on him when he hasn't won anything?

Matt should be so lucky to go 10-2 or 11-1 and still find out that NU fans want MORE.

Just because he's fvcking happy that NU is going to the toilet bowl doesn't mean shit to this program or many fans.

When a coach has EVERYTHING a coach could possibly have to win games, the important thing is to WIN.

I’ve heard this talk about the seniors being a problem. Next year’s seniors have been trained by them, and they will have the same mistakes and problems.

Should have taken the Deion approach of wiping the slate clean. If all you know is how to lose, I don’t want you poisoning my team going forward.

It either is or it isn’t. Rhule isn’t proven. He’s proven to lose way more than he wins. That’s what he’s proven. About 14 times more. But he either realizes that he can’t keep around the guys he has continually lost with and expect better out comes. He’s still trying to “bring back” the magic he had at temple 10 or so years ago. This isn’t the AAC. The schedule isn’t full of Navy, UCF, and Tulsa.

He needs to grow. He needs to adapt to the times. He needs people to push him, not buddies that will just be yes man. He needs to be stronger. He isn’t very strong. He was a bad hire that we have to hope works out. But he needs to stop living in the past. He needs to get rid of his temple staff and get rid of sons of best friends. Cause this just shows he’s a weak leader. A weak man. And the only way he will grow is around strong men

If cignette isn’t able to bring the top players from his previous team they would suck and it showed when they finally played a team with a pulse

The transfers in helped him a bunch, but I think it’s unquestionable that guy would coach circles around Rhule. Hr really knows how to build a winning and tough culture.

in retrospect, should probably have used broad spectrum antibiotics to rid the disease.

Really? Did he just get his but kicked by Ohio State? He’s lucky all the cards fell in to place let’s see what they are like in 3/4 years

Coaches that have won here have been mentally strong and hard workers

Mike and Matt aren’t strong enough. And Scott was lazy

Gotta have grit. Matt just don’t have it

You are more simple than I give you credit for if you think ‘ All cards fell into place’

We would be ecstatic if we were handling our business like Indiana has. That one loss season is better than anything we’ve had in over 20 years

Assume they beat Purdue today (everybody beats Purdue) and then plays well in the playoffs, a lot of kids will want to come and play for him.
I assume they know they either produce or he doesn't play them.

Most good players don't have a problem competing for a job.

Not being able to beat OSU in Columbus is not a new thing, even for great teams.

You have your opinion, the biggest thing is Nebraska needs to upgrade in talent imo it’s on its way

There were 11 wins out there for him and he got 6. Last year, there were 11 for him and he got 5. That's 11 out of 22 that were lost due to bad coaching, bad game management, bad timeout usage, bad playcalling, and bad special teams. In short, these losses are on him.

Next year will be the yest for me. In 2023 and 2024 he had to navigate primarily with a rookie QBs. We will also see more of his own recruits on the field.

The next time Rhule makes an "in-game" decision that wins the game for NU will be the first time.

Don’t forget Deion getting 9 wins in year 2 and as of this morning still has a shot at big 12 title game and thus a shot at the playoffs

Well, many will have to leave this time due to 105.
Under Frost, so many players left within months of spring practice ending, never even seeing the field.
Beginning in a week or so, and for the next several months, this roster is going to start looking dramatically different, and that's probably a good thing.

Now if Rhule shitcans about 4 coaches he's changing the potential outlook for next year.

We're not even average. He gets no credit for beating UTEP or Purdue or Northern Iowa from me.

Or, the fans "getting up in arms" had nothing to do with their timing to start fixing some issues. Correlation =/= causation.
