About a hundred years ago I watched PTI. Now, I just cant get myself to watch whatever it is theyre saying there. Or care. So I wont comment.

Now we are supposed to be offended by a coach stating he is focused on coaching his team? People can find scores and highlights anywhere and anytime online. Same with new stories and cable news networks. Hence the shift to Infotainment, which has replaced much of the news content on cable tv. It seems like every time I turn on ESPN during the daytime, talking heads are screaming their "hot takes" at each other. If you can't get enough of Get Up! and First Take, just wait around for Around the Horn and Pardon the Interruption to further overanalyze the day's sports stories.

How did that comment even matter? It’s a throw away line that was picked up by a throw away show.
This shows what a big name NU is and what a big name Sanders is, the only thing to take away from this is that if NU starts off 3-0, they will be ranked in the top 20, maybe top 15, being one of the few teams to have 2 P5 wins in the first 3 weeks.
I don't have a problem with what Rhule said, and I think it's a big stretch to claim it was a shot at Sanders.
On the other hand, if there's one thing I would not criticize Sanders for, it's completely turning over the Colorado roster. He basically inherited a club/intramural level of talent - probably the worst of any team in any major conference. If Sanders doesn't totally overhaul that roster, he's not taking the job seriously.

If they want to be mad about a big ten team ignoring the transfer portal and only caring about their players, they should make this about Iowa, but since nobody cares about them, it won't get the same engagement. Rhule has worked the transfer portal hard so they are just trying to create more drama.

This HAS to be some lame attempt to drum up interest in this game. Right down to the Twitter algorithms. Why would anyone care about that comment from Rhule? I am convinced that daytime TV’s sole purpose is to dumb down America. Same with all reality shows.
The show needs to make money. Look at the interest that 2 minutes has created for the show. Husker fans always bite.

I think some people (a lot of people) forget that, this is acting, as it should be, it is a show that talks about 10 or so topics and these guys give their opinions but those opinions need to be acted out.
Think of it like a game thread...where 99% oof posters go crazy...it is an act, they don't really mean that "everyone should be fired" or that "Oh my god, I am starting to think player X is trying to throw the game"
If TV tells you that water is dry….and you believe it, is it the TVs fault? Humans are easily spood fed stupidity, eat it up and ask for seconds.
If it does it enough times in a short period yes. Of course a few are harder to convince or need other programming but it is proven to work. It is sort of like Pavlovian science.
I used to love PTI, but any time I see a clip now Uncle Tony seems like he'd rather be anywhere else, and Wilbon is irrationally annoyed at the world. It's like he's trying to fit in with all the brainless morons who just yell at each other on every other sports show.
