Rhule Aid Drinkers

Also Coach D Foster is in his first year at UCLA. Always a bad beat and bad sign when a new regime can outcoach your coordinators and multitude of support staff for 3/4 of the game.
They took the opening kickoff and marched right down the field, using a mix of running backs and tight ends...our sorry asses fell for tge same shit we have for 20fkingg years, pretending that third and long was a big deal for the opposing team...

I’d rather see Kamala on the sidelines at this point
ROTFLMAO ... and then the obligatory

@headcard in shambles trying to figure out how to spin this as a positive for Rhule

Haha why would he care? He was more than satisfied when Rhule got his big signature win against Deion Sanders. That game was his super bowl

I hope you don't eat crow on this. We still have to play Iowa. I don't see how NU will be any better
We lost 13-10 last year. Wisconsin lost 15-6 last year. It could happen but it’s a hard pass for Fickell to be our coach. Chubba Purdy put up more points against Iowa by himself than the Fickell-led Badgers last season. Let that sink in.

I’m just pointing out the ridiculousness of trying to claim we’d be any better under Fickell. He inherited a 7-6 team, a far cry from what Frost left us, and he clearly isn’t doing anything with them. They will obviously be our next best opportunity to become bowl eligible.

we'd be tougher.

Fickell is 1-0 vs our guy. a stat I do not see listed above.

I suspect very few will pick Rhule to beat him this year, as well.

Can’t wait to see your 10,000th bet against Indiana again next week as you continue to come up short to me in another thread, little guy! LMAO 🤣
I feel bad for you.

What little you had has completely deteriorated.

Posts about me make up about 98% of your offerings here now.

Sad.

Please try not to let your unwavering obsession and severe KDS ruin others’ experiences on this board. TIA

Hope you’ve enjoyed the sermons.
I drank deeply out of thirst, like most of us. I haven't listened to any sermons. He's not going anywhere for a few years so I suppose I will care less and less till I won't post anymore. I doing anything else on Saturday going forward , instead of giving my time and support to a failed program.

I can say I have disliked Rhule from the moment of the Satterfield hire. and like any doubt it made do deeper research on his actual "success" which made me pretty sure he was going to flame out in 4. I also knew Trev was an absolute idiot for wasting 7 million on firing Frosty early while hiring a guy who had participated in multiple incidents of domestic abuse, before he beat his wife. But nobody I wanted is any better so hopefully a smarter person than us does something DIFFERENT for the next hire. As much as I hate it, schools have identity...Texas Tech always seems to run spread, Michigan gravitates back to power, SMU is running a wacky wide open offense, maybe we need to look deep and hard and just deal with the hate and bring back an option guy and just say that will be our identity, spread, triple, jet...all of it. I worth rather be Navy any day than Nebraska right now.

Now you’re stealing my lines because I own your pissed-on keyboard. You’ll get them to lose someday, sport! 😆 I’m sure Indiana’s first loss will be another thread about how Cignetti is a fraud (where he touched your bitch ass)

I think both are busts.
I was going to say they lost their starting qb at the start of the season but then realized I think we would be 5-7 with HH at QB as well...HH could have scored more than 10 against Colorado. That is such a sad reflection on Satt, replace a TE at Qb with the #1 qb from HS in the nation and we gain zero wins and no ppg as defense has carried us in all big 10 wins.

Recovering Rhule Aid Drinker here. I used to buy into the Rhule 3 year rule, but it’s obvious he no longer has that same hunger:

Temple Wins
Year 1 -2
Year 2 - 6
Year 3 - 10

Baylor Wins
Year 1 - 1
Year 2 - 7
Year 3 - 11

Rhule’s prior success stories included increasing 2nd year win totals by 200% (Temple) & 600% (Baylor). There was a clear improvement from year 1 to 2. He is already failing to accomplish this. Rhule must win 2 out of next 3 to keep this illusion of year 3 miracle alive.

Yeah, well he also over-performed his year 1 numbers with us. So, I guess we have to take that into account. Maybe he just combined years 1 and 2 with us? Or maybe this whole 3 year formula thing is just a coincidence his last 2 stops and it doesn't mean a damn thing as it pertains to us.

Sad state of the Husker fan that thinks 5 wins is over performing.

Looking at Rhule's history he only stays at places for about three years and then leaves. He is on track to be fired here in three years as well. I wonder if it's because he always gets exposed by then.

I don’t think so…

A man is typically motivated by one of the following:
1. Legacy
2. Money

Osborne is classic legacy guy. He would of given the same effort if he was paid $1 or $10M.

Rhule seems to be motivated by money (nothing wrong with that). The problem with money guys is once they hit multi generational wealth they lose motivation and the hunger that got them there.

Worse mistake you can make with a money guy is guarantee 90% of his 8- year salary

Showing no improvement in year 2 with an allegedly better roster. Always getting outcoached. Team looking unprepared and unmotivated.
He should be fired.
I hated Rhule for leveraging Lincoln and Trev for all of the guaranteed money...he acted like Lincoln was some shit hole that "surprised" him and we were so lucky to have him even consider us. That contract told me, he had lost confidence in his ability to coach in the modern era, the coaches he brought in showed me had he no desire to grow and his coaching connections had dried up, as had his reputation. Of course, if you can trick an idiot like Trev to give such an insane contract, then do it. College Football contracts aren't about market or value but how stupid the current AD, how desperate they are to make the "right hire", and not face angry fans, and how stupid and petulant the donors are.

#1: He was in places that didn't care about football at that time--> Install young players, develop them...lose a lot of games, nobody cares and by year 3 you have a veteran qb and an experienced team but are still garbage on offense and still lose 4 games a season including to top 25 teams.
#2: No NIL or transfer portal. His qbs and developed players didn't just leave like they will in 2024.
#3: He didn't need to win now but he decided to go with veterans the last two years, including now--> we are the oldest team in the league I believe...so he will be rebuilding in year 3. Completely different scenario
#4: He will be fired after year 3, Dannen should already be looking for his replacement.

Still wanting this?
Believe Fickell and Rhule have identical records at their current stops to this point.

Maybe he’s won 1 more.

1-1 head to head.

Fanbase is feeling it after giving up 400+ yards in a win over maybe the most decimated team in the conference.

Wisky was 9-4 2 years before Fickell

They are seeing now what we saw in the early aughts.

Running from your identity never works.

Will be interesting to see what he does during the offseason. I suspect the Dairy Raid is dead and buried.

Would be nice to see another program take a 20+ year swan dive

Fickell is underperforming compared to his predecessors.
Rhule is overperforming

Your original comment was about wanting Fickell over Rhule. Right now they’re even-ish on paper, if you don’t factor in what they inherited.

So my question stands, do you still want Fickell instead? Seemed like a weird comment at the time, since Wisconsin had been sliding. And now we just stomped them. Curious if your mind has changed or you would still rather have Fickell over Rhule.

jury is still out in my mind.

hope that's an acceptable answer at the moment.

Are you in politics?
wait & see:

sometimes acceptable, sometimes not.

typical.

I'm not ready to crown our 11-12 head coach as an obvious better choice than their 12-12 head coach.

their guy was forced to hire outside of what made him successful at Cincy because of a public campaign from the AD and school president to get away from what he inherited (sound familiar?)

our guy was allowed to do what he wanted with his staff until it proved so horrendously hopeless that he was made to look outside what made him successful after just 22 games here.

their staff/team will look nothing like we saw on Saturday. perhaps our changes have already been made.

jury's still out. obviously.
