How in the world do you think "liking" a post that's slamming the team signing your check, & who's owner has had your back from day one, is going to help the situation? I think it's pretty obvious it's over for him in Washington...I hope the Chief's don't get any bright ideas....

In college he was playing in the Big 12, which isn't exactly known for defense, and whose offenses make a lot of QB's look like future hall of famers.

I get that, but his mental state seems to have shifted away from being a team player, saying/doing the right things, etc.

When you receive millions of dollars and have been told you are the greatest your whole life this stuff happens. Best thing for RG3 would be to serve his country in the Marine Corps.

It is weird seeing the complete 180 in his attitude since joining the NFL. The Marines would certainly whip him into shape.

I agree with Money possibly being the culprit. It changes people and it doesn't have to affect one directly either. It can have an indirect effect because of a new dynamic it causes among family and friends.

Maybe he has realized he is not God's Gift and that has lowered his spirits and self confidence. It's easy to be humble and say the right things when you win the Heisman and are a big fish in a small pond. Maybe he has just soured on the game.

Washington drafting him so high was a big mistake to begin with. He always looked very fragile to me.

I think it is very simple. He excelled in a simplified read option offense in college which doesn't work in the NFL ... at least until the QB is always getting hit. And he wouldn't be the college star QB to have trouble reading defenses. Nor the first to have a lousy o-line. Or a lousy defense.

Unless you are looking at an Andrew Luck type ... don't draft higher than the third round without giving up too much draft value (picks).

Ego + money + several people telling you how amazing you are can do wonders.

All that said, I still think the guy brings an amazing amount of talent to the table. The things he did and how effortlessly he could throw the ball in college shows that he has talent. I think if he's with the right coach that can work with him that he can still be an amazingly successful NFL quarterback.

Interesting. I think he sucks and there is no hope for him as an NFL QB. I also thought Leaf was going to be better than Manning. Oops.

Well, I also thought Vince Young should have had a successful NFL career, so I'm clearly no expert. I just remember RGIII looking so effortless when he passed and ran around anyone he faced in college. And before his injury, he looked to be the steal of the draft. Maybe his injury has left him to be average or below, but I hadn't seen an athlete like him previously.

But as I said, I'm not a talent expert.

It seems RGIII could get by on pure athleticism which forced defenses to over-commit on the run game which opened up the passing game. When he got hurt, however, he was stripped of his olympian speed. Now he is a very athletic QB, but not any more athletic than NFL defenders. He hasn't done the necessary work to make up for his reduced atheticism. Maybe he can make the adjustments, but right now he should hope for a release or a trade...

This is another example of why Spread Offense quarterbacks should not be drafted higher than the 4-7th rounds. The only Spread Option college QB that you could maybe consider a developmental success is Cam Newton, and even he has had his struggles. Look at the flops that came from spread offenses.Colin Kaepernick has well documented struggles, Manziel has been a disaster, as was Case Keenum. Then you look at guys that have had experience in pro style systems like Derek Carr and Teddy Bridgewater and given the situation they were in with their teams they fared pretty well. The Shanahan's bet the farm on RG3 and that's why they and RG3 are now gone, a guy with his poor skill set should have never been taken with the number 2 pick.

I think Kaepernick is a pretty special QB - but again, I'm not a professional at talent evaluation. Harbaugh, however saw enough in Kaepernick to basically make an unorthodox decision to bench Alex Smith mid-season even though Smith was having a great year. I also think Manziel's days aren't over yet.
