The seven Republicans who did vote with Democrats to try to protect the Americans who need access to affordable insulin. Unsurprisingly, almost all of them are not up for re-election. Would be nice if our elected leaders could just vote in favor of the American public.

Bill Cassidy of Louisiana
Susan Collins of Maine
Josh Hawley of Missouri
Cindy Hyde Smith of Mississippi
John Kennedy of Louisiana
Lisa Murkowski of Alaska
Dan Sullivan of Alaska

So the poor still get capped at $35 a month max, what’s the problem again? The well to do should spend that on the gym and better food (most cases)
The Dem's wanted to cap Insulin for everyone but they needed 10 Republicans and only got the support of 7.

As someone who lost a parent to Diabetes 1 at 59 who paid every single dollar for his insulin on a teacher’s salary (insurance did not cover) I really resent your comment. Black and white MAGAt views are so unhelpful. This was BS by the MAGAts and they should, again, be ashamed of themselves.

A little surprised at the lack of red responses on here (other than the guy who said people who aren’t poor should get gouged by big pharma). Looks like republicans can’t even spin this as a good thing.

I think this result will really hurt them in the coming cycle. It would be been easy to just keep this in the bill. $35 cap is still profitable by drug makers.

When government caps costs that private enterprise can charge then developement of better diabetes or any other health issues will shut down research because costs of any break through can not be realised even if it could end cancer.
