Report: Brian Ferentz to be hired as offensive assistant (TE coach) at Fresno State

This is the life for most of these guys. You keep moving every few years to make more connections. You never know when a guy you meet and coach with becomes the "next big thing" and get to tag along with him for a bit.

That's a fantastic hire for Fresno St. Tell me you wouldn't trade Donnie for him as OL coach? I do think Donnie is making strides, but it's been a process. Honestly I'm over the whole "I don't like him, waaah" nonsense. I want to win.
If he is no great how come nobody actually hires him as a full time OL coach ?

Probably his haircut. Honestly, I'm not sure and I admit you make a good point. You'd think some P4 head coach would want an OL coach that could create the type of OL that Iowa has had for years. Maybe he's a dbag that no one wants to work with. End of the day he'll never coach at Nebraska, obviously I know that. But would I like our team to have an OL that resembles what Iowa has had for the last 20+ years? Yeah, I would.

BF was only the OL coach for 5 years. And his last several years as OC, Iowa had some of the worst OL's in the country.

I think Iowa having a great OL for the past 20+ years and BF being good at coaching anything are both myths.
