We fired a jerk who couldn't win big games and hired a senior citizen who can't win any games.
More than anything--more than the penalties and inadequacies and poor decisions--the most disturbing thing I saw today was our coach standing alone, hands in his pockets, with a vacant stare on his face.
That is not the person who will restore Nebraska football. Nobody can honestly argue otherwise at this point. And if we agree that this is not the person, why do we need to suffer through two or three seasons of vacant stares? This program crossed the Rubicon years ago when it fired a coach two years removed from playing for the national championship. We just fired a coach that won 9-10 games every season. We've ripped up the rule book before, so let's rip it up again.
Coach, please resign at the end of the season.
