Coach Riley gave me a call a couple of nights ago and wanted to know if I was willing to form two teams for him, for the upcoming Spring Game. He felt like I could be unbiased and make two teams that would be very competitive for the 75,000 fans he was expecting to be in attendance. That being said, here is what I have sent him:

Didn't HC Riley inform you that Damon Benning said that AJ Bush is no longer on the team.

I was just going to ask that, i thought Bush was gone. My opinion one team should have possible starting offense with possible 2nd team defense paired up while the other has 2nd team offense with the possible starting defense. That way its ones against ones and twos against twos. I feel this would give them better comp and actually help improve our players instead of the first team looking like all stars against the 2nd and 3rd stringers.

I didn't type anything, just cut and paste from huskers.com and them just went every other player on red/white team.

Benning could have said Bush is gone, but he is still on the active roster.

Funny you should bring that up. I was pretty busy last year and could only help out occasionally, but 7 games sounds about right. It may be coincidence, but every time I helped out they either won outright or lost on the very last play. Cool
