The best story IMO for this recruiting season was Ole Miss #39 ranking. In Freeze's other 4 classes, they never finished lower than 21 & he's had two top 10 finishes in there. Hugh stated that the class suffered due to penalties but yet no sanctions have been passed on to Ole Miss by the NCAA. Note the low ranking was not caused by low #'s. They signed 22 guys.
I guess the penalties good old Mr Freeze is referring to is having to recruit cleanly. So much easier to land top guys with a bag full of cash vs. with pamphlets, a handshake, & a smile. Interesting enough all 4 of their 4-stars committed in the eleventh hour. That almost seems like a red flag to me. As if some boosters went into panic mode and may have went back to their old ways at the end. Obviously, I don't know that for sure. It just appears that way.
Best thing Freeze said was that a lot of other coaches were using the allegations against Ole Miss as a tactic & that it was real ugly & he would never forget who those coaches were. Here's something for you Mr Freeze, don't F-ing cheat & you wont have that problem. Hugh is the modern day Ron Meyer and Ole Miss should get the death penalty.
