Stewart Bradley had a about 3 weeks of practice with the Broncos in 2013, and was cut before the first regular season game. I'm sorry, the streak was broken then if that's all there was. Also, Zaire Anderson was a practice squad guy with the Broncos when they went to the Super Bowl. That doesn't count either.

People need to stop it with this streak.

You get a ring. It counts http://journalstar.com/sports/huske...cle_76b163dc-e119-11e6-8bec-af4f4017f875.html Deal with it

Stewart Bradley was cut in the preseason by the Broncos. He didn't get a ring. Therefore, streak over. Deal with that.
Ok bud, so all these articles and huskers.com is wrong and you're right huh? In your first post you said Zaire doesn't count because he was practice squad. Well, it does count. And FYI Stew was on IR with the Broncos so like I said...THE STREAK CONTINUES. Lol, quit while you're not ahead.

Has any NFL player in history ever been awarded a Super Bowl ring having never played a single meaningful snap for that franchise? Use your head man. They came to an injury settlement, and he was gone and never to return before the opening game. I live in Denver and follow the Broncos. Remember it well.

I honestly didn't remember if he was cut or on IR. What I do remember is that he wasn't impressing and was going to be cut. He was gone in preseason, and you dont keep some johnny come lately free agent that bombed out hanging around your team. And you sure don't spend the cash to buy him a ring when he did absolutely nothing for you.

If the university is counting him in their streak then shame on them. That is Iowa kind of pathetic.

And you stated earlier that PS players like Zaire and Eric Martin with the Pats doesn't count. And it does. PS or IR you are a part of that SUPER BOWL TEAM. Why does this bother you so much?? I really doubt the University would be pushing this streak and giving it so much pub if it were "not real" like you think.

So this article is from a few years ago, but still relevant. Line from the article: "Other players who can receive rings include practice squad players, players on injured reserve and players who were on the roster at some point during the season. Teams will often consider everybody who contributed at any point in the season worthy of a ring."

Case closed.

It bothers me because it's lame. Take this crap to the national board and try to defend it.

He was never on the roster for the season. His career contibution to the Broncos was no more than an undrafted free agent that didn't make it to the 4th preseason game.

Why should I? And FYI you look lame for being so butthurt about it. Never seen anyone so bothered about a legit Husker streak. Lame.

A"legit" husker streak that nobody respects. I don't blame you for refusing to talk it up outside Husker circles.

You've already been proven wrong. You said PS players don't count. You lose. The end. Get over it.

You're basing that on one internet article that wasn't about anything specific. Believe everything you read do you? By your own admission, Bradley contributed nothing meaningful to the Broncos ever. Zaire was a throw in extra to demonstrate how lame the "streak" is. A point that still stands even if he did get a ring.

Speaking of the national board why don't you run over there and tell everyone how "not real" our streak is. I'm fine right here. Tell them how PS and IR players with rings don't count.RollingLaugh

For bragging rights against other fan bases? Yes, it is worthless and doesn't count.

I'm sorry you have to hang onto something so lame.

Well, go get your clipboard and sandwich board and go start a petition for the University to stop using the "not real" streak according to you. Let me know how that works out for ya. Good luck. Just admit your defeat and move along. I'm done with you.

Your reading comprehension needs some work. I mentioned Zaire in reference to the streak being lame, which is absolutely true. Only later did you add the ring criteria. If we count grads of other schools in front offices that received rings and had the same zero on-field impact as Bradley, would we still have longest streak?

So let me get this straight... if a player gets a super bowl ring, even if he was practice squad or injured reserve, it shouldn't count?

Thanks your stance huskeralum92?

The title of this thread is "want to win super bowl rings? Come to NU."

I don't see how you can argue that Bradley and Anderson didn't win rings, when they did, and then have a problem with it.

Each team at the super bowl gets 150 rings. How they give them out is up to them. The point remains, Nebraska has a lot of rings to their credit, including 24 years in a row.

I highly doubt Bradley received a ring. And if rings are the criteria we should be counting office staff too.

For something being so lame, you're really having a hard time letting this go. Bit ironic that you're referring people to TMB to justify what is worthless or not.

Well the original title of the thread was "Want to play in the Super Bowl?"

Then someone figured out that no former Husker has done that in four years.

this is a nice piece of obscure trivia, nothing more, nothing less.

this is probably a better barometer and Neb still holds its own (this was published in Jan 2016)
