And even comparing Riley to Callahan. Can Recruit but can't coach. I found it interesting with so much receptiveness and future talk about better recruiting under MR tthat our classes last few years under MR and current 2018 per rivals are

2015: 31
2016: 24
2017: 20
2018: 51. (10 Recruits).

While trending up this type of ranking still puts us where we have been and won't cut it

I'm telling you I've analyzed most of the teams who break through our 9 win or 4 loss ceiling consistently in power 5 and always exceptions but biggest factor in separating from pack like from Iowa minn Purdue NW consistently Is to recruit several top 15s or even one if other classes close

There are certain offensive styles like Oregon or Baylor back in day. who have been able to maximize above talent but most teams that is where we elevated and separated in 90s with 2-3 top 15 classes and it's what most nationally relevant teams have to do today in power 5.

A great coach can make difference when a 26th ranked avg team plays 50th but typically a top 15 with anything but bad coaching separates with players. Recruiting seems very gray as you go higher past 20 or 30 plus but the more under 15 or 17 ish you are the more separation seems to show itself
