I'm in a college fantasy league and drafted Newby as my #2/3 RB. Is he going to get a bulk of the carries for Nebraska this year? And what kind of outlook do you see for him this year. It's tough to get info on college players so I usually come to these boards. Thanks.

It's kinda unknown right now. He looks to be the #1 back. But I'm not sure if anybody knows haw carries will be spilt or how backs will be utilized.

He will probably be productive for you.

I have him also, I am using him as my 2nd flex option, or RB4. I am not sure whats gonna happen yet.

Newby is a tremendous drop off from Abdullah. He could be productive in a way like Marlon Lucky was; catching passes, etc...but he's not a very decisive runner in my opinion.

Wilbon will ultimately be the guy IMO.
Newby is showing his age; his first year he played stiff and nervous, wasn't great handling the ball. His second year he was much more comfortable, but we had Ameer. It says a lot that he is still the starter and no hyphen,
It will be 4 guys in various roles attempting to increase carries.... I agree Wilbon can be electric and elusive, this gives him a leg up if he can do the various screens and sweeps to more effect. So not sure if Newby has improved in a jump again, he has that potential. We have two potentially great power backs, so things could drift more to committee; with Newby being squeezed for carries. Little margin for error , as coaches more likely to go with the hot hand.

Honestly, Imani Cross might be a decent option. He's going to get a lot of goal line carries.

I think he looked much more decisive in the spring game than anytime I have ever seen him. Will that be the case this year? Who knows, but he actually looked very good in the spring game.
