I used some Computer rankings to build a consensus on the strength of some of these non con opponents. FWIW, most computers have Fresno State, FIU, Miami of Ohio, and Kent State in virtual ties.

1. LSU - lost to Wisconsin
2. Washington - blew out Rutgers
3. Western Michigan - Beat Northwestern
4. Bowling Green - blown out by Ohio State
5. Oregon State - close loss to Minnesota, OSU is one of the lowest ranked Power 5 programs.
6. Fresno State - 33 point loss to Nebraska
7. Miami, OH - 24 point loss to Iowa
8. Kent State - 24 point loss to Penn State
9. Florida International - 3 score loss to Indiana
10. Hawaii - Blown out by Michigan
11. Furman - actually gave Michigan State a good game til the end.
12. Eastern Kentucky - 3 score loss at Purdue
13. Murray State - blown out by Illinois
14. Howard- blown out by Maryland - Howard is considered one of the 5 worst FCS programs in the country.

What can we gather?

- Ohio State's shellacking of Bowling Green was incredible. They beat a very good MAC opponent, and destroyed their will to live.

- Michigan has a really good team, but Dinardo and Dienhardt need to study Hawaii a bit more. They're not only a bad team, and they had travelled more than 8,000 miles and across the International Date line twice in the past week. That blowout was inevitable. The 60 point win wasn't as impressive as BTN wanted to claim.

- Illinois and Maryland played the two worst opponents of any Big Ten all season.

- Michigan State's performance vs. Furman was awful. BTN still loves these guys though.

- Beating Oregon State at home, in Primetime, is not overly impressive.
