I'm not sure how recruiting works so correct me if I'm wrong. Are we quickly approaching a time where the main assistants are not out recruiting almost ever. Instead they are coaching and scheming?

And u just have ace recruiters whose only job is recruiting and only bring in the HC to seal the deal?

It’s different this year, than years past. Over the last, close to decade, we would be heavily involved in recruiting, after the Black Friday game.

This year, since we’re doing things a little differently and have a bowl to go to, the duties will be split between coaching and recruiting. This is dependent on a couple things. 1. How soon is the bowl. 2. IF TW and Pot Roast decide to coach elsewhere, do they stay for the bowl or do they say Later Tator as soon as they can.

Hasn't this been a thing for awhile now?

Arent position coaches generally bigger recruiters than the coordinators? Players spend the most time with their position coaches and they will have a bigger direct impact.

Now that teams don't have coaching position limits, the gap will definitely widen. Fired HC like Holgorsen and Chip Kelly will take on Coordinator positions to focus on their job and not recruiting as much.

Holgorsen can be the OC with limited recruiting but he needs to be more connected with his position coaches and the ace recruiters.

Nebraska needs to go all in on having the best staff in the Big Ten.

What if we just had assistants stay home too. Get guys who know more about coaching than recruiting. Then instead have 10 or so special recruiters who go out and recruit for them.
