I just read a post in a thread (too many to remember which one) where a poster talked about a drill Coach Williams ran where the pass was high & he went up and caught it then did a little dance & spun the ball on the ground. This brought to mind a contrast in coach's at NU:
Bill Callahan came from the pro's, Super Bowl, etc. - had the "Big Ring", etc. and treated the KIDS like pro's and expected them to act like pro's.
Coach Williams coach's kids and treats them as kids - has fun doing it.
I think Callahan is a good pro coach and might have been good at NU if he would have treated the kids like kids and not expected so much out of them - he was a hell of a recruiter.
I really don't know how good Coach Williams would do in the pro's (maybe he already has), he likes to have a good time while coaching - (I could be wrong here) pro's are there for the money and should be taking the game seriously, if they have fun, more power to them.
