1. Minnesota's schedule is complete. As is the dichotomy of its schedule. The Gophers played all five teams that didn't qualify for the conference tournament and went 12-2 against those teams. They lost all three series (two at home) against teams that are playing next week, going 3-6.

2. Michigan's schedule breaks out the same (except it played Maryland instead of Nebraska). With one game to go, the Wolverines are 10-4 against the five non-qualifiers and 5-4 against the three qualifiers. And they swept a series a week ago at Purdue who just took two of three at Minnesota. So fewer flames for Michigan. :)

3. Maryland is tanking. The Terrapins were 20-1 at home and could have clinched the conference with two wins at home against Northwestern. But they lost both and now have lost two more at High Point. If they don't pull it together today and in Bloomington their RPI will be in the 40s at best and they might not even make a regional.

4. Rutgers mailed it in to end the season. I'm sure busing from Minneapolis to Evanston didn't sound appealing. And playing eight games in nine days is never easy. But my goodness the Scarlet Knights crashed and burned. They lost all five on the road and got outscored 35-6.

5. At the other end of the spectrum is Northwestern. The Wildcats made the conference tournament by winning their last three series, going 7-2. Extra motivation for today should be matching up with Purdue instead of Northwestern or Indiana in game one.

6. Indiana is a mystery to me. The Hoosiers have an RPI in the 20s and just beat Louisville. But they've seriously underachieved in conference play. They're locked in to finishing sixth.

7. JUST WIN TODAY!!!
