At this point I'm beginning to jump on the bandwagon of "Raiola hot seat" crowd.

There are certain things you analyze on film and say "we need better talent, better S&C development", but the mental mistakes....come on

The false starts....always coming at the worst possible times btw. Is there not a ****ing drill you can work on with your O-Line group to ensure they never false start?

Michigan had 0 false starts against us....not sure how many they will have all year or what an average O-Line should expect here....

I’m with you, 3 of the 5 guys on the offensive line who started last week also started against Michigan in 2021. Yes these guys lack some talent and athleticism, but I just don’t see Raiola making them much better either

We need Brix, and Rhule should fly out to see him over this 2 week by break. Sounds like Rhule is the pull for Brix, not Raoila, but you still wait until after next season.

If we pull in a legit QB for next year, he will get by well without a top O-Line.

We probably can’t keep him long enough to find out. I mean, maybe if Dylan wants to transfer after his freshman season…🤷‍♂️ I suppose, under those fantasy land circumstances, you keep him. But let’s be realistic, that’s not gonna happen. Another thing that’s probably not gonna happen is Rhule firing him after this season. He’s gonna get one more year I’d think, to show improvement.

After that, he better hope his nephew wants to transfer…

I didn't claim he would be fired mid season. You are the one claiming it would would be a bad idea to fire Raiola mid season and I provided a counter example of when firing an assistant mid season can actually be beneficial. Didn't claim that he will be fired, simply claiming that it might help our cause if he was.

Well, I didn’t bring up the “mid-season” firing argument, kong did, I just disputed it. Secondly, you can create an argument that firing a coach mid-season can help, sometimes. But in this situation, I find it highly unlikely it would. And every coaching situation (hiring and/or firing) is unique and subject to the circumstances that surround it. Just cause you can find a situation where firing a coach mid-season may have helped, it really has nothing to do with this situation.

Plus, it’s not happening no matter how much y’all want it to, so I don’t get your passion for the notion. I’m not gonna flip out cause I didn’t win the power ball or because I don’t get to bang Jessica Alba. Cause I never believed those things were gonna happen to begin with…

The worst possible scenario would be for nephew Raiola to sign with Nebraska, because it would mean we'd be stuck with his OL coaching uncle the entire time he was here, for fear he would transfer away. Who knows, maybe he didn't choose Nebraska because of his uncle.

Raiola is a very suspect coach, hopefully after this season, Matt Rhule makes a change. If we want to have a better OL, we can't keep doing the same things and expect different results.

I’m not making excuses for the O line’s stupid mistakes. Fidone false started too. Obviously the crap Illinois was pulling was very effective at getting different guys to jump. From what I’ve seen of the backup O linemen, they’ll get Haarberg killed. We need those freshmen to grow up fast cuz the rest of Austin’s and Frost’s O line recruits don’t look great.

He’s got TWO former O line coaches supervising his work. It isn’t rocket science. He’s plenty qualified for the job and other than Scott he’s having to play Austin’s recruits.

From a linebacker coach to DC is a pretty big jump. Raiola has been on the job for about 20 months and only has one full class of freshmen recruits. I think he’ll get it done.
