Spent the morning at Omaha Westview's scrimmage against Omaha North to see Nebraska four-star defensive line commit Tyson Terry then made the drive over to Omaha Central to see 2027 Nebraska targets Kylonn Haynie and Tory Pittman III, as well as a couple other Central prospects the Huskers are monitoring

- First off on Terry, he played both sides of the ball against relatively weak competition for his status and stature. He had almost no difficulty getting to the backfield on the defensive side of the ball and was a pillar at offensive line. If there was any question on his future positional home, his upside is significantly higher on the defensive side of the ball. He knows how to use leverage to his advantage, has an explosive first step, good balance moving upfield and laterally and has added some diversity to his pass rushing arsenal. He's gotten better this offseason and could be in for a truly dominant senior season, after seeing him today I'm excited to watch him hopefully multiple times in the fall. Think he'll have a chance to get in the defensive line rotation early in his time at Nebraska, though he'll need to add some weight. Think he can get up to, and stay around, 285/290+ and maintain his athleticism.

- 2027 Omaha Central athlete Tory Pittman III is going to play both ways this fall, and while he showed some impressive stuff at wide receiver today, longterm his length and physicality is better suited for safety. He's dialing in on defense as that's where most programs are interested in him at. Really impressive length for his age, rangy limbs, legit 6-foot frame. He gets downhill in a hurry, looked smooth in coverage and is willing to lower his shoulder and punish ballcarriers. Not hard to see why in addition to Nebraska, the likes of USC and Wisconsin have already offered. He's spent a lot of time on campus this spring and kept a close eye on Evan Cooper's defensive backs, taking drills and tips he saw and applying it to his own game. He's steadily building his relationship with Cooper and the rest of the staff and plans to be back for camp in June. He's also planning to camp at Notre Dame as the Fighting Irish have showed interest as of late. Huskers have gotten out to an early lead but his recruitment's just getting started. I think he clears 10+ offers by the middle of the fall.

- 2027 Omaha Central running back Kylonn Haynie's relationship with running backs coach EJ Barthel has only improved since he was offered by the Huskers early in April. He'll be back in Lincoln for camp June 14. Still plenty of time in Haynie's recruitment and I'm not expecting a decision anytime soon, but he did say on the record today that he thinks he ends up at Nebraska when it's all said and done. We'll see if that sentiment changes if/when he lands more national offers and gets a chance to explore those offers, but the Huskers have gotten out to an early lead.

- 2025 Omaha Central defensive end Alijah Wayne has added some significant mass to his frame this spring. So much so that Nebraska is evaluating him not just at defensive end, but they're exploring whether he could eventually fill out into defensive tackle. He's planning to camp at the Lindenwood megacamp this weekend, in front of Rob Dvoracek and EJ Barthel, will camp at Nebraska June 7, then go camp at North Dakota State and South Dakota State later in June, as both those programs have offered him. Nebraska will evaluate in both camp settings and then make a decision on whether or not they'll offer the rising senior. At the least, I think he gets at PWO opportunity, his versatility is intriguing.

- 2025 Omaha Central athlete Ike Ackermann landed his first FBS offer from Air Force, shortly after winning the Class A state championship in shotput. He's excited by the opportunity and like Wayne, has a busy June ahead hoping to land some more offers. He'll camp at Nebraska June 8 and is looking forward to showing the coaching staff his mobility, which has been the main question about his game, and something he thinks he's improved upon this offseason. Like Wayne, the staff will evaluate and I think he winds up getting at least a PWO offer from Nebraska, but an offer isn't necessarily off the table with either.

- Quick note on 2026 three-star wide receiver DaShawn Prince, he wasn't at Central's practice today and we got the indication that he might be transferring elsewhere in the area for his junior season.

I'll have updated pictures and headshots uploaded into the Rivals database this evening
