Never really dove into it this too much and I always look too see who my Braves took and also local prospects who were drafted. But Something that has made me curious though is the spending on prospects in the draft. I’ll sometimes see teams say they went cheaper in some of the earlier rounds on prospects and then get some pricier guys in later rounds or vice versa. How does the pricing of prospects work? Is it just the high school prospects who can be a bit more expensive or is it based solely off player projections? I’ve never quite understood this part of the draft. Thank you.
