Just a quick question for the board. Is there a formal process for redshirting a student-athlete? What I mean is there some kind of paperwork that needs to be filed with the NCAA stating "Nebraska will be redshirting this player" and then another form stating "We changed our minds" or something like that?
All this talk of the freshmen made me wonder if they have the ability to decide later. I get the logistics of it: why would you take a player on an away trip that wasn't going to play. But NU begins the season with four home games. Can't HCMR and OCDL see how Newby, Oz and Wilbon do before deciding on Tre Bryant?
