Question for those who use PlayStation Vue

I'm in my free trial week with Playstation Vue and am wondering if I'll be able to watch the NU/Oregon live tomorrow?

Huskers.com says the game is carried by ABC/WatchESPN. I'm in Omaha Nebraska.

Playstation Vue has ABC On Demand. I haven't watched it yet, but I assume that it doesn't include ABC LIve - hopefully I'm wrong.

It looks like WatchESPN is an app I can get on my Roku device but I'm wondering if my Playstation Vue login will be enough to use WatchESPN.

Thanks

I would assume you'll be asked to log in when you attempt to access on WatchESPN. I'd test it out early just to be sure.

In my area, PS Vue had local channels. If you have an over-the-air antenna, you should be able to get ABC in high def. for free.

Thanks. Duh, I forgot about over-the-air. I'm new to the 'cutting-the-cord' club. I do have an antenna.

You do get Watch ESPN access as part of PS Vue, but if you can get it OTA, that would probably be better

I have been using Vue for almost two weeks now. I'm lucky in that Comcast provides 10 or so channels as part of my internet service so I get all the local programming from that. I have used both btn2go and watchESPN and both validated through VUE without issues. Part of the reason I liked the VUE deal a lot was that the B10 network was included. I have to pay to get a sports packages from Comcast in Atlanta. I was paying $250 a month, now I pay 60 for ISP and 36 for Vue. Now I'm trying to figure out how to record games from VUE. I have a PS4 and Hauppauge recording device. It records PS4 games so should do VUE as well but haven't gotten it to work.

How good of an internet download speed do you need for the PS Vue? Thinking of cutting cord but I live in middle of nowhere and have to have satellite internet. Thanks for any info.

I downgraded my speed to 30 MBs. My sister lives two miles outside of lincoln and uses a dish to an access point (looks pretty funny) and her speed is terrible, like less than 3 MBs and usually more like 1.5 MBs. I was VERY surprised NetFlix still streamed with zero pauses. Since then I've come to think bandwidth is over rated.

Bandwidth is vastly overrated, but your ISP doesn't want you to know that. The real question is how many users do you have on your internet at once. We used to have 6mbps service and I never had a problem in the world with it. Played PS3 online, played Warcraft, we would stream stuff on Hulu. Then it was 12mbps was the only "economical" speed I could get, that was great for me to game and my wife to watch Netflix at the same time.

Most servers you access won't serve you up data at blazing speeds anyhow, and unless you routinely download multi-gig files, you're paying for speed that you never use. But the ISPs are all about that narrative of giving you more speed so they can charge you more.

Another question is how fast is your WiFi router. Another is how fast is the wireless card in the device you're using.

The ISPs quickly figured out that they should stop selling people the right amount of internet, so now they'll only sell you like 3mbps on the low end, otherwise you gotta jump up to about 15. I just canceled AT&T and Comcast is coming tomorrow because they jacked my internet bill to $62 a month.

I have PS Vue and used watchespn the last couple weeks no problem. I also got an antenna but the way my building is it doesn't get a good line of sight to the ABC tower so its hit or miss so I just use the watchespn.
