QB Quinn Ewers — No. 1 prospect of 2022 class — commits to Ohio State after decommitting from Texas

Way too early to count on commits for 2022 signing day. If a kid decommits and switches this early once it's even more likely he will do so again before signing day.

We're (OSU) 102-10 since Urban took over in 2012, but only have 1 national championship during that time. Goes to show you how difficult it is to win the big prize.
We grieve for you.

Elite talent is the price of admission to the big stage. Elite coaching and a good chunk of luck have to come together to win it all.

and Bama is 102-11 in that same span with 5 natty's...soooooooo

Exactly! That makes Saban’s run even that much more impressive and probably will not be topped anytime soon. But at least Ohio State’s natty in 2014 came at the expense of defeating Saban...soooooooo

Saban is king
What's impressive to me is that Saban has achieved his success with a high turnover among his assistant coaches. You can't run a football program and do everything as the head coach. You have to have very capable assistants working together as a team effort. Don't know how Saban can get that done year after year with all that turnover. Whether you like him or not (and I don't) you have to admire his effectiveness with awe.

#1 QB in nation and now #1 WR in the nation - both out of Texas

Playing in a weak conference doesn't help.

And their LB’s. It’s sick!! A 6.1 and 2 6.0. I’m guessing 2 will be 5*. He’ll, maybe all 3.
OSU now has 5 top 50 committed kids in the 2022 class according to the 247 Composite - more than the REST of CF teams combined.

Both Bama and OSU have a shot at Urban / Florida's all-time 247 Composite record of 324 with their 2021 classes. Both also have a shot at Urban / OSU's 2017 average/player of 94.59 (teams over 20 total recruits). OSU is the heavy favorite for two remaining - top 10 -non-committed 2021 players - Tuimoloau and Egbuka. Bama has more scholarships to give out in 2021 so they'll probably take
no. 1.

But the 2022 OSU class is the one that could blow all of the records out of the water. They have massive roster talent now, but nothing like it will be in a couple of years. Never thought it possible, but Day is out recruiting Urban
