PSU admins getting jail time

Good. This country really needs to improve having one justice system for some people and another for others. If rich people, connected people and politicians keep getting special treatment the population will get restless.

Spanier was a terrible administrator at UNL. Was so glad to see him leave after years of allowing both the buildings and the quality of education fall under his overstuffed egotistical administration.

Should be a 5-10 year sentence, but you know rich guys don't really do prison.

Former Penn State president Graham Spanier and former vice president Gary Schultz will have to spend two months in jail. Former athletic director Tim Curley will spend three months in jail. The rest of their sentences will be served in house arrest.

"F#cking bullshit. God I hate this effing corrupt state. C/S/S are innocent men who did nothing illegal"

Post #4 on BWI. Surprised it took 4.

So where is the PSUpride dude now? Lol.

Nobody did anything wrong. It was all a witch hunt and a rush to judgement.

Not
I'm here. Let's at least get the story straight. They weren't convicted of conspiracy. Two pled guilty to misdemeanor child endangerment and spanier was found guilty of misdemeanor child endangerment and he's appealing.
The jury said the conspiracy case was baseless.
These guys will each do a month or two months in jail for reporting to second mile instead of cys. I have no problem with that.

And after six years, 22 charges and 14 felony counts and the state got one misdemeanor for each guy. That's not actually a homerun for the state.

Impossible. Someone from there came on this board and said they did nothing wrong.
No one said that. I said they should have reported to cys instead of second mile. I said there was no conspiracy and the jury agreed.
Tuco, are you a Better Call Saul fan. Just curious with your handle. I love Breaking Bad and Saul.

AGREE

Yes big fan of BCS, less so of Breaking Bad but I watched it religiously

I think 2 month in jail is correct,
1. sanduske is the one who committed the abomination. therefore takes the lions share of the blame.
2. you want folks to know sodomites have to be curbed by the law, therefore those who are placed in the position of authority are responsible for upholding the law.

I guess the legal experts here who insisted that Spanier would only get probation didn't know what the Hell they were taking about - imagine that.
Maybe if Spanier doesn't like the view from his jail cell, he can get PSU to spend a couple million on improvements. That was his #1 priority during his stint in Lincoln.

Spanier is appealing his misdemeanor conviction. He was sentenced to two months jail.
That said do these kind of guys do hard time. My friend's brother was a high up politician and and took a lot of bribes. I guess the guy is doing his time in a country club.

Do you actually know where they're doing their jail time, or is this just another way of contending you weren't really wrong after all?
And of course Spanier is appealing. As long as he can send the bill to the taxpayers of Pennsylvania, that ---wipe will never take responsibility for anything. Enjoy making his attorneys wealthier.

I don't know yet where these guys will serve their time.
I was just surprised the corrupt politicians I was referring to are doing easy time.
And I'm not sure what you're referring to regarding my saying I wasn't wrong after all. I've always claimed there was no conspiracy and the jury agreed. I also said regardless of the report mike made, and I posted his report, the admins should have contacted cys rather than second mile. They didn't and paid the price.

Oh a couple tried but I have no patience for such BS. They won't be back.
We had one clown 3-4 weeks ago who was registering a new user name every day. I'd end up banning him by 10AM, but he'd be back the next day. For a while it was easy, as he was using the same IP address. Then he thought he'd get clever and try to obfuscate himself through Tor: I just started looking for new members who were using a Tor exit point. He hasn't shown up for the last week and a half.

Some of these guys need to get a life.

There will never be a show to grace TV as good as Breaking Bad. I watched the first season of Better Call Saul and was left pretty flat.

The thing that is really missing is the comedic banter between Jesse and Walter. Walter's disgust in Jessie's ineptitude made me roll with laughter. Like when he brought up "chili powder" as his special ingredient while in front of Tuco (I believe it was), and Walter's eyes roll back, although not too much so as to alert Tuco to Jessie being a complete bumbling fool. Loved that part of the show.

Please tell me Season 2 and beyond of BCS is better than the first season. I will give it another shot. Especially if Mike and Gus and Hank are somehow involved. Those were my three favorite characters on the show. I nearly cried man tears when Mike and Hank got killed. :(They were so good in their roles. And Gus was the perfect villain. Steady and calculated.

I think BCS is just a different show, it's not based on the drug trade, although there are still significant elements in storylines.

The first season was introducing Jimmy McGill before he was Saul and characters like Kim Wexler and Charles (Chuck) McGill. Mike is a big part of the show and the relationship between Jimmy and his brother Chuck is an awesome story. I think the writing and the stories are just so smart.

Give season two a shot. I'm not going to guarantee you'll like it, but some additional storylines develop

I love the Saul character and I think his brother is very entertaining. However, the guys you love from Breaking Bad are all starting to show up, a lot. Think you would enjoy how they all came to get involved with one another.

I've always loved Michael McKean, especially when "Stonhenge was in danger of being crushed by a dwarf." :D But I wasn't real fond of his character in the first season of BCS. When I saw he was going to be the brother character, I was really excited, then his character didn't do much for me.

I will give in another shot though. Especially if Mike is a more constant character in Season 2. I don't know, maybe I wanted it to be more like Breaking Bad. I really enjoyed the montages in BB, when they were put together with some great songs...

I still miss Breaking Bad, and have done marathon sessions and watched it again on Netflix. So good..
