I’m no fan of the NCAA. And honestly I’m torn on the entire issue. However, I would have loved to have a free ride at college just to throw a ball. I wasn’t that fortunate. They pay athletes too much money as it is, imo. But it’s not any of my concern. Money is just paper

Well us fans may or may not like it but NIL is about individual rights more than anything else. The courts decided that kids do own the rights to their names/images and thus are entitled to profit from those rights. It's really more of a free market thing than it is a socialist thing.

Not talking about NIL specifically, how it was implemented is the central issue. No rules or governance in its use, just a feel-good move to make themselves feel better. I realize the courts created this, but to have no plan for implementing this is completely inexcusable. Complete knee-jerk reaction.
